Meet our Writers

My name is Saija and I am a Journalism student at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I have a passion for music and play the guitar in my free time. I also study fashion and am curious about all the ways we as people express ourselves, whether it is through music, literature, clothes or anything else.

Music has always been an important part of my life and I’m excited to share these stories about how music affects others.

Hey there! I’m Sommer (they/them) and I’m a journalism and art student at the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities, which occupies stolen Dakota and Ojibwe land. I’m a strong proponent of social justice and collective liberation, especially as a queer person. Oh yeah, and my favorite music artists are Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers and of course, Rage Against The Machine >:)

Hello, I’m Scott. I’m a nontraditional student and believer in continual learning. In my parallel life, I’m a trial lawyer. Trying something new at this phase of my life is challenging, especially with all the new technology. Never say never.
